Polar Bear
Journal #1:
Weather: Because of their thick coat of fur and body fat, polar bears can handle very cold weather. This cold weather is the best for them because their habit is made of ice. The global warming causes the ice to melt and forces polar bears to move. Because of this, very cold weather is the most ideal weather for polar bears.
Vegetation: There isn't much plant life in tundras, so polar bears have gotten used to a mostly-meat diet.
Predators: Polar bears don't have many predators because they are one of the highest on the food chain. The biggest threat to their survival is actually global warming. With the weather changing, it messes with everything polar bears are used to. It also melts their homes, forcing them to move to find another patch of ice that is eventually going to melt away just to make them do the same thing over again.
Prey: Polar bears hunt about half the time, but most of the time, they don't get anything. When they do get something, it usually ends up to be something with a lot of fat because that's one of the biggest things polar bears need to survive. One of polar bears' biggest prey is the bearded or ringed seal.

How will the re-introduction affect the habitat?
If polar bears are re-introduced, the habitat will be affected negatively. The polar bears' habitat is already being destroyed. If more polar bears are added, the habitat will be overpopulated, making it even harder for polar bears to survive.
How will humans be affected by the re-introduction?
Polar bears and humans have generally the same prey. If polar bears are re-introduced, the humans in this area will have less food to hunt and eat.
How will humans affect polar bears?
Humans are killing polar bears unintentionally. By participating in heating the globe, we are killing the polar bears' habitat. This is killing them, therefore humans are affecting the polar bears by murdering them.
